Meaningful

Impersonal, formulaic, transactional. These adjectives likely describe your experience working with "consulting" firms. And expensive of course. They do like their money.

Somewhere in the pursuit of profits, shareholder value, quarterly earnings (honestly take your pick of the inumerable questionably intentioned, capitalistic sounding catchphrases these firms like to toss around) the meaning of consulting was lost. Honest consulting prioritizes the people within an organization first and foremost.

Duristel is setting the record straight. Money is important, absolutely. But relationships are of far greater significance and value.
